The First Blackfeet Ledger Artist to View Sitting Bull's Ledger Art!

On August 21st, 2019 Blackfeet Ledger artist John Isaiah Pepion visited the ledger art collection at the Whitney Western Art Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center in Cody, Wyoming. Pepion is the first artist to view the collection.

A highlight of the collection was Sitting Bull's ledger art that he created at Fort Randall, North Dakota. After turning himself in at Fort Bugord, which is also located in North Dakota, Sitting Bull was a prisoner of war at Fort Randall for 22 months.
